A North Texas teacher was arrested Sunday evening after officers spotted her weaving in traffic while driving with a child in the backseat, Dallas police said.

Police said 32-year-old Josefa Isabel Ybarra, a teacher at a non-profit school in Cockrell Hill, acted nervous and handed them a cocaine rock after they pulled her over.

"I don't want to go to jail," Ybarra told police according to the report. "I got this for a friend."

At the time of the arrest, Ybarra had a three-year-old child in the truck with her.

Mi Escuelita Preschools, which helps disadvantaged children, has placed Ibada on paid administrative leave while they investigate the incident.

"It's disappointing," said Ave Nave-Mi, with the Escuelita preschool. "I would have hoped she would have set a better example."

Nave-Mi said Ibada teaches a class of about 18 children at the school.

Ibada bonded out of jail Sunday night. It's unclear if she was tested for drugs, but the school says she was tested in March and it came back clear. Ybarra has no criminal history.
