School bus in accident in Anna; multiple injuries

ANNA - At least 14 Anna student were injured after a bus crashed into a telepone pole at about 4 p.m. Wednesday along White Road and FM 455.
The bus jumped a curb, crossed a daycare center parking lot and struck a pole, police said. The front of the bus was damaged.
Thirty-two middle school and high school students were on board bus number 68, according to reports. The bus is part of First Student, which is the company Anna uses for bus services.
There were no other vehicles involved. The driver was being interviewed by police.
A statement from Medical Center of McKinney said the hospital had received nine patients, ranging in age from about 8-16. All had been discharged by late Wednesday evening.
"Right now, it's just cuts and bruises," Jenks said. "Those being transported to the hospital are just being taken there for observation."
