RICHARDSON — An bicyclist was killed in Richardson Monday morning.

The victim, who was identified as Anthony Mungioli, was struck by a young man driving a pickup truck at the intersection of Arapaho Road and Greenville Avenue around 7:30 a.m.

The teenage driver — whose name was not released — said the rising sun blinded him as he came up behind the cyclist.

Police investigators said charges are doubtful because this appears to have been a tragic accident.

The intersection of Arapaho and Greenville was closed for much of the morning as police collected evidence.
