FLOWER MOUND - A teen's injuries proved fatal after his head was run over by an SUV that was pulling him while he rode on a skateboard around a parking lot Wednesday in the Garden Ridge Elementary parking in Flower Mound.

The victim, 15-year-old Kyle Darroca of Lewisville, was run over by a vehicle his 16-year-old friend was driving around 4:00 p.m.

While traveling back to their station after a day of training, the Flower Mound SWAT team and three fire department medics happened upon the scene minutes after the incident. Authorities said the medics immediately began medical care on the teen, who was later taken by CareFlite Air Ambulance to Parkland Memorial Hospital.
