Officer Nava's widow reported thefts at his grave.

FORT WORTH — Officers are searching for thieves that targeted the grave of fallen Fort Worth Officer H.N. "Hank" Nava, who died in the line of duty in November, 2005.

Officer Nava died at the age of 39 after he was shot in the head while serving a warrant.

In July, two valuable vases were placed next to Officer Nava's memorial marker at his grave. However, the next day, his widow found that the vases were missing.

She reported the crime and then replaced the vases; but once again, one of the vases was stolen.

The Fort Worth Police Department said the incident is being investigated, but said they had few leads to follow.

No other crimes were reported at the cemetery within the three month period the vases were reported stolen.
