HOUSTON – A teenage girl was found dead in a house in Northwest Harris County.

Sheriff’s deputies say the girl's father returned home around 8:45 p.m. at his home at Lazy Lagoon near Newport Shores to find his 18-year-old daughter dead inside a closet.

The death appears to be caused by foul play, deputies said.

The teenager’s family members agree. They say they feel that way because there were no signs of forced entry into the home.

Family members say a relative last talked to the teen by phone Thursday afternoon.

Deputies are questioning neighbors in the area.
