FRISCO — A man was in custody Monday morning accused of firing a gun at Frisco police officers who went to his home after family members expressed concern for his welfare.

Paul C. Bailey, 56, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Frisco police said.

After authorities arrived at Bailey's home in the 6500 block of Winston Drive about 11:30 p.m. Sunday, a shot was fired at officers who were waiting at the front door, police said. No officers were injured and they did not return fire.

The Frisco Special Operations Unit arrived to negotiate with Bailey, who surrendered shortly before 4 a.m. His bail was set at $20,000.
