BALCH SPRINGS — Police in Balch Springs are looking for a woman who may have been kidnapped. Witnesses said they saw a man force a woman into a car at about 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in the 10900 block of Elam Road.

Police believe the victim is Maria Vernise Cleto-Negrete, 31, a Hispanic woman with black hair and brown eyes. She is about five feet tall and weighs 120 pounds.

Police want to question a 35-year-old Hispanic man named Jose A. Mejia Lopez. They said he was driving a 2000 or 2001 black Mustang with possible Texas plates DGM-764.
