LEWISVILLE — A 39-year-old Lake Dallas woman was killed in an accident on Interstate 35E in Lewisville Sunday night.

The Tarrant County medical examiner's office pronounced Darla Dale dead at the scene.

Lewisville police said Dale had been traveling north on the interstate about 9:20 p.m. when her 2002 Pontiac Sunfire struck a retaining wall near the FM 407 exit.

Dale's vehicle then spun and hit a 2005 Chevrolet Impala and a 2008 Pontiac G6. No other injuries were reported.

Lewisville police Capt. Kevin Deaver said it was unclear what made Dale lose control. He said the accident was still under investigation.
