Dallas police arrest four after chase
03:45 AM CDT on Tuesday, May 12, 2009
DALLAS - Police arrested three men and a woman after a nearly half-hour police chase through Dallas, Grand Prairie and Cockrell Hill streets.
The chase began at about 4:20 p.m.; patrol cars could be seen following a black Cadillac with several suspects inside. Several times during the chase, the black vehicle led police on the wrong side of the road in busy rush hour traffic.
The car weaved through neighborhood streets; and at one point slowed down, stopped at a curb in the 4100 block of Falls Drive and a woman and man bailed from the vehicle. Police apprehended both suspects, and the car sped off with two more suspects inside.
About ten minutes after the first two suspects bailed, the vehicle stopped in the 900 block of Turner Avenue and two more suspects, including the driver, abandoned the Cadillac and fled on foot. Both suspects were captured shortly after.
Authorities have been searching for the vehicle, which they say is connected with an April robbery in Cockrell Hill. Officers are searching for evidence they believe was thrown out in the midst of the chase.
