GRANBURY — A early-morning fire Tuesday destroyed 30 units at The Ridge, an apartment complex in Granbury.

The first of two alarms was sounded around 4:30 a.m. in the 4000 block of Mabery Court. Granbury firefighters were assisted by units from Pecan Plantation, Indian Harbor, Tolar and Hood County in battling the blaze.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.

The American Red Cross said it was setting up a relief center at the nearby Mambrino Baptist Church to help the 24 adults and one child who lost their homes. Fire victims will be able to receive food, clothing, and shelter from the agency, said Red Cross spokeswoman Emily Getzschman.

Granbury is 35 miles southwest of Fort Worth.
