An inmate escaped Tuesday afternoon while being transported from a drug center in Mansfield to the Tarrant County Jail, police said.

Gregory Donald, 21, a black male with a history of aggravated assault and drug charges jumped out the van.

The sheriff's office say he carjacked a vehicle in southeast Fort Worth.

The car is a blue, four-door 1998 Mercury with a tag number 133-CRB and was last seen after 2 p.m. between Business 287 and F.M. 157.

Donald is described as a black male, 5'7 and weighing 160 pounds.
