ME identifies worker fatally stabbed at Fort Worth grocery store

The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office has identified the grocery store employee who was fatally stabbed this morning.

A beer salesman found Jasbahadur Rai, 48, about 7 a.m. at the TL Food Store in the 3200 block of East Lancaster Avenue, police said. He was rushed to John Peter Smith Hospital where he died.

The beer salesman saw a man, who may have been the assailant, drive away in a Ford Explorer, police said. He was described as a black man, about 6-1 and 170 pounds, wearing a blue hoodie with vertical tan stripes.

Police are still investigating the case.
