COLLIN COUNTY — A grandfather and his nine-year-old grandson went fishing Saturday afternoon and never returned home.

Their bodies were found floating in Lavon Lake near FM 3286 in Branch, Texas.

The Collin County sheriff's office identified the victims as David Baxter Edmondson and his grandson Noah Peel, both of McKinney.

Both were wearing their life jackets when they were found on Saturday afternoon. A canoe belonging to the victims was also recovered.
