A man has been charged over a fatal shooting in Mansfield on Saturday.

At around 2 a.m., Mansfield police were alerted to a shooting in the 2100 block of Lexington Drive.

When they arrived at the scene, they found 39-year-old Leonard E. Keith Jr., who had been shot.

Keith of Mansfield was transported to JPS Hospital by air ambulance where he later died.

Mansfield police took 40-year-old Kory Nelson Turner into custody for questioning.

He has been charged with murder and is being held at the Mansfield Law Enforcement Center. His bond has not been set at this time.
