The father of a Watauga teen arrested for allegedly delivering cookies laced in drugs to North Texas police departments expressed disbelief Tuesday.

The arrest wasn't 18-year-old Christian Phillips first brush with the law. In 2007, Phillips was arrested for assaulting a police officer.

"Totally mindboggling, [I'm] just stunned," said Glenn Phillips, Christian's father. "I'm not sure what to say or what to even think at this moment."

Phillips said Christian was delivering baked goods as part of his community service for Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

"He checks in wherever he is doing his probation at in the morning," Phillips said. "He says, 'Hey, this is where I'm going to deliver the cookies.' And when he is done, he brings back a little card that shows where he has been."

The baked goods and candies Christian delivered to police departments Tuesday were held in a bamboo basket. But when authorities at the Blue Mound Police Department got a whiff of the cookies, they suspected marijuana may have been in the recipe. A test of their cookies proved them correct.

Another batch of cookies was delivered to the Lake Worth Police Department.

"We did get a positive presumptive test for LSD," said Chief Brett McGuire, Lake Worth Police Department.

The Lake Worth department was tipped off by Blue Mound officers after they tested their batch of cookies that were delivered on Monday.

"I don't think it would make sense to anyone who was in the right frame of mind to do something like this, especially if you're taking something to a police station.

Investigators said the teen was found carrying a list with the names and addresses of 25 police departments in the Dallas-Fort Worth area he had already visited.

"We are profoundly concerned about the incident and are conducting our own investigation," said Mary Kardell, the executive director with MADD-North Texas.

Of the stations Phillips made deliveries to, there were reports of at least three Fort Worth officers who ate the cookies last week. As of yet, there have been no reports of anyone getting sick.
