DALLAS — An 18-year-old turned himself in to Dallas police early today in connection with the shooting death earlier this week of his former girlfriend’s new boyfrend.

Cristobal Jaimes called police from a Dallas bus stop around 12:30 a.m. and surrendered, Lt. Craig Miller said.

Manuel Martinez, 20, was shot Sunday night outside his home in southern Oak Cliff. He died at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

At the time of the shooting, Mr. Martinez was with a pregnant, 14-year-old girl. Police said she and Mr. Jaimes broke up about three months ago and that Mr. Jaimes is believed to be the father of the child she is carrying.
