GREENVILLE — A man on a motorcycle led police on a high-speed pursuit through three counties Monday afternoon before he was arrested at a shopping mall in Greenville.

Police said the chase apparently began in Dallas on Northwest Highway near Plano Road. The cyclist — reportedly riding a motorcycle with no license plates — opened the throttle and didn't stop, careening through Rockwall County and into Hunt County on Interstate 30.

The unidentified rider finally pulled off the highway on the south side of Greenville, 45 miles east of Dallas, abandoned his motorcycle in the parking lot at Crossroads Mall and entered the Goody's Family Clothing store.

Officers converged on the mall from every entrance and arrested the man near one of the anchor stores.

Police were seen escorting the suspect, wearing a green camoflague T-shirt and blue jeans, into a Rockwall County Sheriff's Department squad car a short time later.

There were no reports of injuries.

The name of the suspect and any pending charges were not immediately available.

Other police agencies involved in the pursuit included the Hunt County Sheriff, Dallas County Sheriff, Garland police, Greenville police and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
