Three-alarm fire rages in Arlington

ARLINGTON — A large residence in southwest Arlington burned out of control for hours Saturday night.

Fire officials said no one was home when the fire was reported just before 8 o'clock in the 2900 block of Collard Road.

Dozens of firefighters were called to battle the blaze, which went to three alarms as huge columns of flames rose from the multi-story structure

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
