DALLAS -- As police try to string together the clues, many women from East Dallas to Oak Lawn are now fearing for their safety. McKinney and Cole, a very popular neighborhood in Dallas with street-side restaurants, upscale apartments, and condominiums, is rattled because there have been a series of rapes. As many as four have happened, dating back to December.

The police say there is likely one man behind these, entering through second floor patios and windows. Not first, but second floor patios and windows, and he’s raping women at knife and gunpoint.

“I already have a dog for protection, but today I’m actually having security placed in my home today. Burglar alarm, lights, motion detector, all of that,” said one woman resident.

Police are asking all residents to remain vigilant until this person off of the streets.

This is the description of the suspect given by the police:

Black/ dark-complexioned Hispanic man
25-35 years old
5’ 9” tall
150-165 pounds
Athletic build
Wears gloves, stocking or ball cap, white shirt and tennis shoes

At least three, possibly four, serial rapes in uptown Dallas have been linked to this one man.
