Trent Fry said he did not smoke pot near his daughter.

FORT WORTH — A 10-month-old infant remains in a Fort Worth hospital after doctors said they found evidence of marijuana in her system.

Amanda Fry's family told News 8 they took the child to the hospital because she was not responsive.

Trent Fry, the baby's father, denied smoking pot around Amanda. "I have not been blowing smoke in my daughter's face, and I wouldn't do that," he said.

Doctors also said they detected cold medicine and nicotine in the child's body. Police said they don't have enough evidence to charge anyone with a crime.

Child Protective Services is investigating the circumstances surrounding the baby's hospitalization, but a spokesperson said Amanda has not been taken into protective custody.
