One TV preacher holds out on financial info

09:48 PM CST on Thursday, December 6, 2007

BY BRETT SHIPP/WFAA-TV

A congressional probe into the spending of six popular television evangelists won't happen without a fight from one of them.

Thursday was the deadline for Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn and four others to submit financial records to Congress over concerns about possible tax law violations

Copeland was also the recent focus of a News 8 investigation into possible misuse of his ministry jet for personal use.

Copeland complied with the request by sending the Senate Finance Committee a packet of financial information.

Crefflo Dollar is the only televangelist who defied the congressional request.
