Fort Worth Police are calling it the biggest case of child pornography that they've ever seen.

The trail of evidence dates back 20 years.

Investigators describe him as a collector and a trader of child pornography.

Ricky Meuir, 43, was arrested Friday afternoon for a felony charge of promotion of child pornography.

Meuir remained silent as he was taken into custody.

This investigation started in July when the Fort Worth Police Department was contacted by investigators in New Hampshire.

They say Meuir e-mailed pornographic pictures and videos to their detectives over a three-day period.

Earlier this month, investigators seized eight boxes of evidence, three computers, and sexually graphic writings about young males from this home on Verna Trail. Meuir lives in a small apartment behind his parents' house.

The arrest comes as a surprise to Meuir's family.

"He's a good kid, He's a loner. He doesn't watch TV or read the newspaper," said Wayne Meuir.

"He classifies that stuff with adult pornography. He didn't know it was illegal."

Investigators say Meuir had thousand of pictures and videos, some that date back to 1987.

Meuir is still in custody.

But now investigators are working to find out who these children are.

They say there are at least a thousand different faces.
