Labor Day closures, DART schedule

10:07 PM CDT on Sunday, September 2, 2007

Dallas Morning News

Labor Day commuters will need to make some changes because of holiday-related closings by DART.

The Trinity Railway Express commuter train will not operate on Monday, according to DART officials. In addition, bus and light-rail service will operate on a Sunday schedule that day. Service for disabled riders on Monday will run on a Sunday schedule, and the reservations office will be closed.

HOV lanes on Interstate 30 will be closed, as will the S-ramp at the south end of Interstate 35E and the HOV lane on I-35E/U.S. Highway 67 from downtown Dallas to Loop 12.

Also, from 12:01 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sunday and Monday, shuttle buses will replace trains running between the Mockingbird and West End stations to accommodate maintenance work. As a result, DART will suspend rail service during those hours between the Mockingbird, Cityplace, Pearl, St. Paul, Akard and West End stations. Two shuttles will operate every 10 minutes during those hours.
