GRAPEVINE — A Coppell man was killed Sunday afternoon when his bicycle collided with a car in Grapevine.

Police said Gregory Scott Dean, 47, was attempting to cross Highway 121 at Freeport Parkway shortly after noon when he was struck.

Dean was rushed to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the car, a 20-year-old woman from Flower Mound, wasn't hurt.

The cause of the fatal crash remained under investigation.
