Fort Worth Health Department inspectors reported they found four roaches near the grilling area the day following Minnie's claim.

FORT WORTH - A North Texas woman said she found a cockroach in her food after taking a bite out of a potato skin she ordered at the Bennigan's on South Hulen Street in Fort Worth.

"I think it's just nasty," said Minnie. "When I put the potato skins in my mouth, I chewed it up and swallowed [and] there was something sticking to my tongue."

Ferguson said that "something" ended up being part of a roach. As she looked over her plate of potato skins and buffalo wings, she claimed she found another one in her wings.

"I was sick," she said. "I just kept throwing up, burping [and] my mouth couldn't swallow."

According to a report made by the Fort Worth Health Department, who inspected the restaurant the next day, four roaches were found near the grilling area during the inspection and they issued the restaurant five other violations.

Inspectors cited the restaurant for not having enough soap at the sinks, not properly identifying containers and for cracked tiles in the kitchen, which may have led to the bug problem.

An on-duty manager at the restaurant said the entire restaurant was fumigated on Monday. Receipts from the service show the pest company found even more roaches in the kitchen and the bar.

"I'm mad as hell," Minnie said. "I probably shouldn't say that, but I'm pretty upset about it."
