FRISCO, 5:15 p.m.: Temperatures dropped within minutes as torrential rain moved through Collin County, but there were no reports of damage. Officials with the North Texas Municipal Water District are hoping that the rain will have a beneficial impact on the Lake Lavon reservoir, at a record low level due to drought conditions. - Steve Stoler, WFAA-TV

D/FW AIRPORT, 5:04 p.m.: The upper level of American Airlines Terminal C is being evacuated as a storm approaches the airport. About 300 passengers are being warned to stay away from windows as they move to a safer area. Public safety officials said a tornado was headed directly to the airport. - Bert Lozano, WFAA-TV

PALO PINTO COUNTY, 5:01 p.m.: About an hour ago, there had been reports of a funnel cloud ripping through this rural area. "Debris started going everywhere," said resident Shelly Hogan. "You could hear it, see it skipping." - Darla Miles, WFAA-TV

LIMESTONE COUNTY, 5 p.m.: "Something pretty severe has come through here ... it destroyed two houses on either side of the freeway, and the houses next door have not been damaged at all. - Robyn Kriel, KWTX-TV

D/FW AIRPORT, 4:54 p.m.: "We're seeing a backlog of travelers as flights continue to be delayed and canceled ... we're also seeing delays of two to four hours as the weather begins to intensify." - Bert Lozano, WFAA-TV
