Some testers said Freeze 24/7 made a difference; others said they saw no benefit.

Freeze 24/7, a new cream that has made promises to take years off the skin, has quickly become popular among those hoping to zap away wrinkles.

There are plenty of those out there that wouldn't mind a miracle cream to do just that.

"I love to laugh so I'm always going to have these little smile lines here," said Leslie, a woman who said she is searching for a way to decrease the signs of aging. "And then next would be the creases in the forehead I think."

The company's official web site says the product reduces 50 to 90 percent of "the visible appearance of fine lines and wrinkles within minutes of application."

"It is the body's natural muscle relaxant," said Brooke Damel, with Freeze 24/7. "But when it is applied topically, it penetrates the skin and relaxes the muscle, which releases the line."

Three women, including Leslie, volunteered to try it.

"I just feel its minimizing the lines, softening and I do feel that firmness," she said.

Leslie said she liked the cream so well she bought a jar.

Beth Herner said she was also pleased after her test drive of the product.

"This seems a little more plumped above the eyebrows and a little bit over here to the side," she said.

However, another volunteer said she wasn't so impressed.

"My skin feels tight right here," said Nicole Hooper. "I can feel it, but I don't see a dramatic difference."

Doctors say they aren't that impressed either. Many say the cream does not work as well as other more invasive methods such as Botox,

"This topical cream does not work at that junction between the muscle and the nerve," said Dr. Kristine Romine, a dermatologist. "There's no way it can penetrate that deeply."

Romine said the cream has "a topical effect that gives you the illusion that it is tightening your skin."
