Separated, conjoined twins make Dallas visit

DALLAS - In two vastly different states, the once conjoined Egyptian twins and the currently conjoined Italian girls appeared at a fundraiser in Dallas Thursday night.
While the Egyptian boys are a medical success, hope for separation appears to be slowly fading for the girls.
The appearance of Ahmed and Mohammed Ibrahim, both 5-years-old, in Dallas is their first time back in Texas since returning to Egypt two years ago after undergoing a successful separation surgery.
But the 3-year-olds, Anastasia and Tatiana Dogaru, were recently turned down for the surgery.
"I will never give up to hope for that," said Claudia Dogaru, the girls' mother. "Who knows, maybe somewhere God will have something for us. If God wants them separated, he'll find a way."
Both sets of twins will undergo medical checkups while in Dallas.
So far, the boys are developmentally and physically delayed, but progressing daily.
"I think they're doing great," said Sally Fryer, therapist. "I think they're doing really good."
