Handout.
A comedy about the best thing that will ever ruin your best-laid plans: parenthood.

Knocked Up is a borderline brilliant comedy starring Katherine Heigl as a career girl who has a one-night stand with a slob played by Seth Rogan, and wouldn't you know it, she gets pregnant? Weeks later she finds him, and confronts him with the news.

After the initial shock the two decide to spend time together in an attempt to do the right thing. In this case, keep the baby, get to know each other, and try to turn their friendship into a relationship. And that includes introducing one another to friends and family.

Knocked Up is wonderfully written and directed by Judd Apatow, he created the very funny 40 Year Old Virgin and his real life wife plays Heigl's sister in the film. This one is even better than 40 Year Old Virgin and Wedding Crashers. It has much more depth and meaning, and is fall down flat-out, funny.

Be careful, Knocked Up is rated a raunchy R, some of it quite shocking, but underneath you'll discover the rarest of rare comedies - one with meaning, substance and consequences. A film that makes you laugh because it tells the truth.
