On Jan. 22, Channel 8 wrapped up three days of putting "family first" in Plano.

More than 550 children and parents checked out the "Living Well Expo" with interactive booths about health, finances, family recreation and more.

Many performers hit the stage at the Plano Community Festival.

The Younger Generation Choir, the Williams High School Step Team, the Chamberlain Ballet, the Plano West Senior High School Symphony and singer Hilary Werthmann all showed off their talents.

Channel 8's Collin County bureau chief, Steve Stoler, co-emceed the event, along with Steve McSwain of Arta Travel.

Channel 8's Macie Jepson and Jeff Brady also took part, hosting a town meeting with internationally-known motivational speaker Zig Ziglar.
