GRAND PRAIRIE – The Texas Racing Commission granted Lone Star Park 96 live racing dates for 2008 at its meeting Thursday in Austin.

Lone Star's 65-date spring thoroughbred season will cover 16 weeks, from April 10 to July 27. The 31-date fall quarter horse season will run from Sept. 26 to Nov. 29.

This year's fall quarter horse meet begins tonight with an 11-race card. First post time is 6:35 p.m.
