Three stars

1. Todd Bertuzzi, Anaheim: Game-winning goal, plus screen on the other goal. He was a persistent pest for the Ducks, drawing two key penalties.

2. Jean-Sebastien Giguere, Anaheim: Ducks goalie was quietly spectacular again. He has not allowed more than two goals in his last 10 games.

3. Scott Niedermayer, Anaheim: Ducks defenseman controlled the game, was excellent on the penalty kill and had the first goal.

Game highlights

1st: Dallas came out with a strong first period and scored the first goal for the 37th time this season, as Brenden Morrow scored short-handed at the 12:44 mark. Dallas is now 24-9-4 when scoring first. Marty Turco rimmed the puck from behind the net, and the bouncing puck squirted past Anaheim defenseman Mathieu Schneider at the point. Morrow stepped around Schneider and took off on a breakaway. Morrow slipped the puck between the pads of Ducks goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere for his team-leading 28th goal of the season.

2nd: The Stars continued to dominate the shots on goal and had the better of the scoring chances, but Anaheim cashed in with the only goal of the period. With Mattias Norstrom in the box for tripping Todd Bertuzzi, The Ducks scored in five seconds. Ryan Getzlaf won the draw, Teemu Selanne passed the puck across, and Scott Niedermayer threaded a shot through a Bertuzzi screen to tie the score at the 4:08 mark.
