North Mesquite catcher Sara Stinson said she has orally committed to play softball for Iowa State. As a junior last season, Stinson batted .333 in the regular season and was named first-team all-district.

Oral commitments are nonbinding. Nov. 8 is the first day a softball player can sign a national letter of intent.
