Women's basketball: Oklahoma State 89, McNeese State 56

STILLWATER, Okla. – Andrea Riley had 22 points and eight assists and No. 19 Oklahoma State bounced back from its season-opening loss with a strong second half in an 89-56 win against McNeese State on Tuesday night.

The Cowgirls (1-1) fell behind by five early but grabbed a 38-26 lead at halftime and then pulled away by shooting 61 percent in the second half.

Kristin Hernandez came off the bench to score 17 points and junior college transfer Tegan Cunningham added 16 points in her Gallagher-Iba Arena debut.

Shante' Perry led McNeese State (0-3) with 18 points and Caitlyn Baggett scored 15.

Megan Byford had 10 rebounds for Oklahoma State, which had a 46-30 edge on the boards and outscored McNeese State 32-12 in the paint.
