Summit receiver chooses SMU

Mansfield Summit wide receiver Brad Haynes said he has orally committed to SMU. Oral commitments are nonbinding. The first day a recruit can sign a national letter of intent is Feb. 7.

Haynes (6-2, 195) said he picked SMU over Indiana, Washington State, Connecticut and North Texas. SMU has 18 commitments.

Also, Copperas Cove tight end Logan Brock (6-4, 232) said he has committed to TCU. Brock had been committed to UT-El Paso.
