FORT WORTH — Four teenage "ghostbusters" were found roaming the halls of a Fort Worth middle school this weekend, police said.

The youths, who were not identified because of their ages, told investigators they had broken into Stripling Middle School to try to substantiate a legend of ghosts on the school's third floor, Fort Worth police said.

The teenagers, 13 to 15 years old, were caught crawling out a school window with backpacks, pillows and blankets about 1 a.m. Sunday. Nothing appeared to have been stolen from the school.

The suspects were taken to the juvenile detention center and accused of criminal trespass, police said.
