As a precautionary measure, the Episcopal School of Dallas Lower School will be closed Friday to stop the spread of a minor, but uncomfortable and contagious, stomach virus.

The school will open as scheduled on Jan. 22. ESD's Middle and Upper Schools will remain open.

ESD will be closed Monday in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
