TARRANT COUNTY — A woman says a man pretending to be a police officer pulled her over and then did things to her that were so terrible, she's afraid to sleep.

But the victim—who asked to be identified only as "Jennifer"—wants you to hear her story, hoping to prevent her assailant from attacking again.

It all started just before midnight Thursday at the Quebec Street exit on Loop 820 in northwest Tarrant County.

When the flashing light showed up in Jennifer's rear-view mirror, she exited the Interstate.

"The car followed me and pulled me over, so I pulled over in a lighted parking lot," she said.

What happened next in the parking lot is so traumatic that Jennifer asked us to record the interview over the phone to disguise her voice and to keep the suspect from seeing her face.

She won't forget what he looked like, however—standing at her window, dressed like a police officer and flashing a badge.

"I gave him my license and then he—after looking at it—he told, asked me to step out of the car."

That's when the vicious attack began.

"He punched me in the face and slammed me into the car and, um, he tore my shirt and was trying to grab my pants and ended up tearing my pants."

The man was determined, Jennifer said, to rape her. But she was determined to survive, and so she made a desperate move.

"Just out of sheer gut reaction, I kneed him."

It was apparently enough to convince the man that Jennifer was too difficult a victim. He got in his car and drove away.

But no one knows how far he went, and that's why Jennifer's helping us tell this story to you.

"Because I don't want anybody else hurt like I was last night," she said.

The detective assigned to the case said police are working with the victim to create a composite sketch and description of her attacker. News 8 and WFAA.com will provide that information as soon as it is available.
