1 dead after motorcycle collision knocks over Jeep Cherokee 1:43 PM CT

A man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a sport utility vehicle in Arlington.
The accident took place shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of South Cooper Street and Secretary Drive, Arlington police said.
Police said a motorcycle traveling at a high speed and heading north on Cooper Street collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was turning at the intersection. The collision caused the Jeep to roll over.
The Jeep’s driver, Ruben Gonzales, 34, of Arlington was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital. His passenger, Irene Aldrete, 50, of Arlington was also injured and transported.
The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office was working to identify the motorcyclist, who was killed instantly, police said.
No criminal charges were expected to be filed again Mr. Gonzales, police said.
