As the cement hardens on the Jessica Simpson/Tony Romo breakup, associates of the couple are loosening up and chatting.

On the eve of sister, Ashlee Simpson’s, wedding to Pete Wentz, a number of sources close to the couple are giving the anatomy of a breakup.

Apparently, Jessica and Tony have called it quits several times before and promptly gotten back together. But this time, don’t bet on it.

Running buddies of the Dallas Cowboys quarterback are saying they’ve seen this breakup coming for three to four weeks.

Both Jessica and Tony are easy to look at, but the word is that one side of the equation lacks a certain conversational gravitas (wink, wink ).

Additionally, some unchivalrous adjectives have been tossed around to describe Jessica’s high neediness factors.

And lastly, the bloggers have got one thing right. Friends on both sides of the great divide have said that Papa Joe Simpson needs to chillax and stay out of his daughters’ personal lives. He’s not helping.

This weekend, Jessica is in L.A. with mom, Tina Simpson , preparing for Ashlee’s wedding. On Wednesday, E! Online reported that Tony would be her date to the ceremony. Said one friend of the couple on Friday, “I would be shocked.”
