Wednesday's place to see and be seen during the AFI Dallas International Film Festival was at the Park Cities home of festival chairs Anne and Steve Stodghill. They hosted a late-night party for friends and AFI types. Homegrown movie star Owen Wilson dropped in to mingle, as did actress Janine Turner.

Other guests included actor Justin Kirk from the TV show Weeds, Tom Landry Jr. and Against the Current director Peter Callahan.

Puddy in the house

Add Patrick Warburton to the list of visiting AFI notables. Live action or animation, the guy's been in everything from Bee Movie and Rules of Engagement to Family Guy and The Emperor's New Groove.

But he's forever etched in our minds from his Seinfeld appearances as Elaine's clueless, self-involved boyfriend, Puddy.

The actor was here for screenings of his new film, Rock Slyde (he plays Rock).

Wednesday night, he showed at Al Biernat's steakhouse with locally based friends. They occupied the big round table up front known as the Rock Star Booth.

Flock of Perots

While Warburton mingled with the folks in the front of the restaurant, father and son Perots were in the back, attending a party in the private garden room. Margot and Ross Perot and Sarah and Ross Perot Jr. were at an event for Perot business associates, which was also attended by Ambassador Henry "Hank" Crumpton, formerly with the CIA's Clandestine Service operation.

Later, from August 2005 to February 2007, he coordinated counterterrorism for the State Department with the rank of ambassador-at-large.

Pussycat Dolls at ZaZa

Praise be to recovering train wreck Britney Spears for bringing those feline fatales the Pussycat Dolls with her to Dallas.

The Dolls opened Britney's show Tuesday at American Airlines Center.

The sexy song and dance ensemble got in some catnapping and concert prep at Hotel ZaZa, where lead singer Nicole Scherzinger occupied the owner's condo. Other Dolls were spread out in ZaZa's Erotica, Notorious, Medusa and Bohemia concept suites.

Take a Powter

Also at ZaZa, militant Stop the Insanity! diet guru Susan Powter was back in town for a family wedding.

The former Dallasite was spotted having an oatmeal and bananas breakfast at ZaZa's Dragonfly restaurant.

Jordan and Jones

Last weekend, Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor member Lee Roy Jordan dined at Tillman's Roadhouse in Oak Cliff at the same time as the Dallas Cowboys owners' No. 2 son, Jerry Jones Jr. The two exchanged warm greetings.
