Could it be Cougar Love between Her Madgesty, Madonna, and former Texas Ranger Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez?
Say it ain't so, because A-Rod's wife, Cynthia, just gave birth to their second daughter less than three months ago.
US Weekly reports in its issue released today that the 32-year-old slugger has been visiting 49-year-old Madonna at her New York home at late hours.
Back when he lived in Dallas, A-Rod owned a home on tony Lakeside Drive. Apparently, he's now spending a lot of time on tony Central Park West.
Madonna lives in the Harperley Hall building at CPW and 64th Street, where the magazine says A-Rod leaves sometimes "as late as midnight" and that "all the doormen are talking."
She was in his seats at a June 22 game at Yankee Stadium.
Her marriage to director Guy Ritchie has been the source of speculation. On Tuesday, Madonna's rep Liz Rosenberg shot down those reports to Reuters and People magazine, saying, "There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce."
As for the A-Rod and Madge relationship, Ms. Rosenberg says it's not personal, it's just business. "Madonna and Alex have the same manager, Guy Oseary. They have met. They know each other, and Madonna took her kids to a Yankees game last week. There's really not anything to comment on beyond that."
Fresh on the heels of the Mini Me sex-tape scandal, we have Gary Coleman shooting a film in Dallas in which he plays the son of a deceased porn star.
A few days ago, when filming wrapped, Gary and the cast showed up at Perry's steakhouse for a dinner hosted by Perry's owner Amie Bergus and chef Travis Henderson.
It looked more like a family road trip than a rock-star reunion when Stone Temple Pilots pulled into Dallas on Sunday. The recently reunited group arrived at Hotel ZaZa at 4:30 a.m., straight from a show in Houston.
Guitarist Dean DeLeo made a beeline for breakfast in ZaZa's Dragonfly restaurant while frontman Scott Weiland laid low for a few hours.
At lunchtime, Scott appeared with his kids for a poolside lunch of burgers at ZaZa's Urban Oasis. Later, Scott and the kids frolicked in the pool, and drummer Eric Kretz joined the scene before everyone retreated to their rooms to prep for the Sunday show at Nokia Theatre.
Dallas- and LA-based literary agent Michael Broussard is opening his own shop on the strength of author Chelsea Handler's recent outing in print.
Michael was with Highland Park Village-based book agent Jan Miller Rich before joining Simon & Schuster.
"Once I acquired Chelsea's book [Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea] and it debuted at No. 1 on The New York Times' best-seller list, I felt the time was right to go out on my own," he says.
Michael's new company, Dinomedia, will be based in Los Angeles.
