Disc debuts: WiiWare downloadable game service12:00 AM CDT on Tuesday, May 13, 2008WiiWare downloadable game service A- For Nintendo Wii. DIGITAL DELIVERY: Nintendo finally got around this week to launching an online store for games especially made for the Wii console. This is different from the classic games that Wii owners can already buy and download, and is intended to be sort of the video-game equivalent of indie movies. The early returns look promising. THE FIRST SIX GAMES: Six WiiWare titles are available. New games are scheduled to be available every Monday. Of the six that are up now, I bought and downloaded a title called Defend Your Castle, in which your goal is to pluck off the ground little stick men who are trying to assault your castle and hurl them into the air so they splatter on the ground. Done with a crayons-and- construction-paper visual style, Defend Your Castle ($5) is a fun little game, although you can play a Flash version free on the developer's Web site (www.xgenstudios.com). BOTTOM LINE: WiiWare is more than overdue, but it uses a simple, clean interface and should be popular. Victor Godinez
