Dallas Summer Musicals: More on each show
What's soaring above the stage – a practically perfect nanny, a jungle boy, some winged monkeys and an old-fashioned car – will be as important as what's on it during the 2008-09 Dallas Summer Musicals season. With a musical version of Happy Days in addition to Mary Poppins, Tarzan, The Wizard of Oz and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, much of the roster will be family-oriented.
Something for the grownups does come along, however. The area premieres of Frost/Nixon – the season's only drama, starring Stacy Keach as Richard M. Nixon – and Legally Blonde, the Musical are also among the highlights.
Subscriptions are on sale for two separate series. Four non-subscription events are on the agenda as well.
Subscriptions are available at 214-217-1536 or www.dallassummermusicals.org. Single tickets, except for the specials when bought with a series, will go on sale later; check back on tickets.guidelive.com.
