His Dallas home has been a refuge this summer for British entertainer George Michael as he storms North American stages with his 25 Live Tour. But few locals ever see the naturally reclusive superstar.

That will change in October at the 10th anniversary of the Two by Two for AIDS and Art gala at the home of art collectors Cindy and Howard Rachofsky.

Mr. Michael has agreed to perform a set for the black-tie patrons after a live auction at the Oct. 25 event.

Just in case you don't know how big a deal that is, consider this: Crowds packed Madison Square Garden on Monday and Wednesday nights for Mr. Michael's two New York shows. Wednesday, Andre Agassi came with wife Steffi Graf, and supermodel Linda Evangelista, who starred in one of Mr. Michael's videos, came as did Matchbox Twenty singer-songwriter Rob Thomas and his wife, Marisol.

In the audience from Dallas were Mr. Michael's partner, Kenny Goss ; Kenny's brother, Tim Goss, with wife Joyce and daughter Greer; and PR pro Barbara Buzzell with her steady, Roger Cade .

Mr. Michael's Two by Two appearance will be in the late-night "Last Look Lounge," sponsored by Museum Tower, Aston Martin of Dallas and Neiman Marcus.

Look for former Jane's Addiction and Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Dave Navarro to be in the house at the Dallas Ghostbar on Friday night.

Why?

He's in town to host a birthday party for Wade Randolph Hampton.

Who?

The club kids know him as DJ WishFM, Ghostbar's celebrity DJ. When not in the booth, Wade is also marketing director for Ghostbar's parent company, N9NE Group Dallas, and he oversees events at Ghostbar, N9NE Steakhouse and Nove Italiano.

He's spun discs at events for both Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, Tony Romo and Paris Hilton, to name a few.

Mr. Navarro (the former Mr. Carmen Electra) won't be the only big name at Friday's party. Bassist Jesse Murphy and drummer Aaron Johnston from the band Brazilian Girls will also take turns spinning tunes.

Back in the '70s when the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek was just, well, a mansion on Turtle Creek, and before Guy Calluaud introduced his fine French cuisine to McKinney Avenue, the loftiest restaurant in Dallas was the Pyramid Room at the Fairmont Hotel.

The Fairmont is making a bid for the summit again with a $1.4 million renovation of the Pyramid to be unveiled in September. The new look will bring the hotel's former lobby bar into the Pyramid enclave.
