What is required to keep the Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt household running smoothly? A fleet of cars and a half-dozen nannies, for starters.

"We've provided them with more than 20 Volkswagens while they're here in Berlin," Mya Walters, a public-relations manager for the car company, told Life & Style magazine.

The magazine reports that the Pitt-Jolie digs in Germany also have a dinner table that seats 16 – that's just a couple extra seats when you factor in their family of eight and the six nannies the couple sometimes requires.

During their recent trip to New Orleans, Life & Style says they tried to make do with four nannies, but needed to fly in two more to combat the chaos.

Brit bits

•Just when Britney Spears was getting back to good, her temporary co-conservatorship was made permanent in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday. That means daddy Jamie Spears will have control over the pop star's money, business affairs, assets and estate until she can prove herself totally sane. (Is that even possible in Tinseltown?)

•The same day, lawyers for Ms. Spears' former music manager Johnny Wright, who is suing for breach of contract, tried to force her to undergo a deposition. That move was blocked after Mr. Spears and his attorneys sought and received a temporary protective order.

Green queens

"She was like, 'Wow, I'm so proud of you! You're doing better than I thought,' " Ms. Pickler says.

Says she

"They are my battle wounds." Tara Reid, referring to her uneven abs, the result of a 2004 liposuction and subsequent reconstructive surgery, to People magazine
