"I'm speechless," says Fergie (real name Stacy Ann Ferguson), who will sing a duet, "Be Italian," with Mr. Day-Lewis. "I'm definitely going to be a sponge on set. I want to pick up on everything that all these brilliant actors are bringing to the table."

Fergie had minor roles in Poseidon and Grindhouse. Filming of Nine is set to begin in October.

•Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong called it quits this weekend, according to Us Weekly and the New York Post. The breakup reportedly happened at the serial monogamist's Lance Armstrong Livestrong Summit in Columbus, Ohio. There was no comment from his rep.

•Despite his ex-fiancée's claims, Matt Grant, star of ABC's The Bachelor: London Calling, is definitely not OK with Shayne Lamas keeping their engagement ring. "It's not a television or a handbag," the financier says. "It's a symbol of marriage that didn't happen." Ms. Lamas has said that she will keep the 2.85-carat Tacori platinum-and-diamond eternity ring and that he approved. "Sometimes she thinks she can say anything and I'll go along with it," Mr. Grant responded.
