Shia LaBeouf was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Sunday after an early morning wreck in which the Indiana Jones star was injured, authorities said.
Mr. LaBeouf was trying to make a left turn at a West Hollywood intersection around 3 a.m. when his pickup collided with another vehicle, rolling the truck over. It was immediately apparent to officers responding on the scene that Mr. LaBeouf was intoxicated, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Sgt. Scott Wolf said.
Shia, 22, was booked on misdemeanor for DUI and released to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to be treated for injuries to his hand and knee, as well as a minor head injury. A publicist for the actor, said he underwent hand surgery and plans to return to work within a month.
New York magazine has blown the lid off a significant publishing deal: Dustin Diamond, who played that sexiest of all nerds, Screech, on Saved by the Bell for 13 years, is writing a tell-all memoir. Cleverly titled Behind the Bell, the tome promises to shovel all the dirt that went on behind the set of the family series, including "sexual escapades among cast members, drug use and hard-core partying."
"I think it's difficult for people to think of me as anyone other than Scully," Gillian Anderson tells the Times of London. It's not hard, considering she has barely starred in more than two movies outside of The X-Files.
