THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL One of the most intelligent science-fiction movies yet made, director Robert Wise's 1951 classic doubles as a cautionary tale about nuclear war. KYLE XY There's nothing wrong with a little cross-promotion between a network and its sister cable channel, especially if it gives extra exposure to a good show.
